re: Offshore Fly Fishing

I have caught a few dozen small chicken dolphin (Mahi) with my bass rod. 5 weight. Used a chartreuse clouser. Brought it once for fun on an amberjack trip. We spent half the afternoon taking turns. Easily could have caught them until there was none left. My only story of offshore fly fishing. It was one of those days where nothing went right and some unexpected saved the day.
