Loomis almost always back loads and really it's the smart thing to do(as long as the signing bonus isn't too large, which is a problem no matter how it's structured).
Not trying to be a dick, really just asking a question, but isn't back loading the contracts the reason why the Saints are currently in a tough spot cap space wise?

No, the reason we're in a tough spot cap-wise is because of the abundant amount of talent on the team, which Loomis brought here through excellent drafting and Free Agency acquisitions.
Thanks for your question!

Do you remember how your O and D lines went to shite while still being strapped for cap space? Yeah...

You can be good and way under the cap quickly.
But to stay good over a period of time without the cap catching up to you and your players is almost impossible.
The leader in long term success is Pitt and look at the mess they are finally in this year!
Seattle and 49's we will see how they do long term.

On the back loading question, no that is not the reason. It was the restructuring of guys to push cap space back, which then lead to making those guys, who were expensive, harder to cut.
Backloading in and of itself is very beneficial.
