I went on one cruise in my life during the month of July because there were no LSU sports scheduled. The cruise was ok, but I will probably not book another one. Hopefully your cruise will be uneventful.

Heard I'm going on the elation. So reading a previous post makes me happy to hear that it is possible to get ESPN somewhere. I guess I'll be ok. I'll be back the Thursday before the SR so I'll be back in the box for that (granted we host).

I would suggest you have someone record the games if they are that important to you because ESPN on most cruise ships is the European type which means not a chance of catching college baseball.

check your schedule, you could be in port for a game or two and hit a bar to watch it.

i have not done this with baseball but have caught football and basketball games this way.

Just found out my parents scheduled a cruise with carnival during the regionals as well . Hopefully there will be some way to catch the games, but if not we will be back in time for the supers.

Best viewing areas on Carnival Elation are TV's behind bars at sides of swimming pool and at the rear of the casino/clubs level.

TV's in cabins are old "tube" type and ESPN's are not available.

I was on the ship for the NFL Championship games and they showed both games on the big screen in the stage show area.

Went with family and about 20 friends post Christmas/New years Cruise the year LSU played ND in the Sugar Bowl. One person in our party managed to get it shown on a big screen in a large room.Word spread and there were well over a hundred LSU fans and 8 ND fans,4 0f which left at halftime and the others late in the third. We didn't have to pay anything but the bar probably grossed 10 grand.

Most everyone was early trying to get good seats so there was considerable drinking pre-game.After halftime the celebrating started and they had waitresses running everywhere, many of which carried buckets of beer.

Point being , I would guess if you get enough people to request viewing, Carnival might arrange the telecast, knowing they can pay for it with Alcohol.

Bein under the legal drinking age. Is there gonna be a problem with me being in the sports bar or wherever they can show the game?
