Religious people complain that people don't mention God enough or get criticized when they do but I guarantee if the situation were reversed they would lose their minds. I always see "good for him for standing up for what he believes in" but I doubt they would say that if their beliefs didn't match their own.

I didn't think McConaughey was standing up for something he believed in or was trying to rile up his peers in any kind of way.

Seems to me that he was simply saying a few things that were important to him - and he wasn't worrying about anyone else while doing so. Plus, I appreciated him not being a slapdick about it. He gave a great speech, and so did Jared Leto.
