Fiat is who bought them out. Benz had partial ownership back in the early 2000's, then Cerberus capital bought Chrysler took all of their cash and left them for dead....then the bailout...then Fiat saved them.
But yes, they aren't the blown transmission and cracked dash nightmares they once were.
Can't go wrong with any of the Big 3 + Toyota right now. All excellent trucks.

Toyota has been left behind. All reviews I have read say the newest Tundra is a dog compared to the 2 Americans and the Italian.
