I don't understand why GM doesn't update its engines. 80% of their trucks get the 5.3, which is underpowered. People on here say "yeah but the 6.2!" Yeah, but that's an uncommon option. Most optioned engine vs most optioned engine Ford and Toyota are crapping all over GM right now.

They're now direct injection, which is a hell of an upgrade if you consider making things more complicated in the name of efficiency an upgrade.

Have you driven a new one? Every half ton truck on the market right now has about twice as much horsepower as it really needs.
