To me it is the fact that true comedic giants of the industry, such as Harold Ramis, have eulogies without Academy award winner by their name. An honorary Oscar would have been the most appropriate, and I feel as though that category truly honors the people that have "mattered" in the industry. They weren't just progressive; they had staying power and kept progressing.

But in general, it is always shocking to me that modern Hollywood is so bent on gravitas, it can't see the brilliance of comedy as an artform.
