So why did the amount of La. taxes collected fall from 11.0 billion in 2008 to 10.2 billion in 2009 to 8.75 billion in 2010???????????? In 2011 they rose to about 8.85 billion and to almost 9 billion in 2012???

The fact is the overall economy hurt La. even though it wasn't as severe as it could have been.
