Van Fleet doesn't say where the images came from, but I suspect this is the real deal. Why?

First, the team has already expressed a desire to get a white helmet so it could use its old winking pirate Bucco Bruce logo for throwback games.

Second, the "old" logo isn't really that old -- debuting in 1997. This change doesn't seem too radical -- just removing the sword and the flag from the background and keeping the Jolly Roger pirate skeleton.

And finally, the images do show a chome-colored facemask -- something Bucs Hall of Famer and Apopka native Warren Sapp mentioned when he broke the news about the logo change.
