I'm aware. But they are dealing with a lot more unusual circumstances than they normally do. Replacing a pine tree that doesn't come into play much might not be at the top of the priority list.

Sounds like they had a reserve pine tree already tapped as the tree's replacement, but not sure whether that tree survived the storm either.

If the AN Chairman and members want it at the top of the priority list, it will be at the top.

And as someone else wrote, money is no object.

This part could be true. I know the guy and area that AN get their trees from. All of the pines I have seen looked the same, but there could have been others I haven't seen.
