I have lived in both now. It would easily be Atlanta. New Orleans has a drinking scene, music scene...Atlanta just offers more. They too have affordable housing I heard a lot less friends have issues with crime in Atlanta as opposed to New Orleans too. They may not be great but Atlanta has three of te major sports. Grew up not a Braves fan but their games are a great environment (surprisingly they are building a new stadium too). Food is not bad in Atlanta never found great Cajun food but they have a wide variety of places to try. MARTA will take you almost anywhere if you want a drunk night out on the town but a cheap safe way home. Traffic is worse in Atlanta from my experience. Had family visit me in both cities and they all said they liked Atlanta more. Thought New Orleans was a cool place to visit but thought Atlanta looked better to settle down in.

Same for New Orleans in regards to Cajun food, because of course, like Atlanta, it's not Cajun either.

It does have Cochon and Butcher though, so right there it's light years ahead in Cajun, or Link's take on Cajun pork inspired staples for New Orleans.
