I'm failing to understand how not making self defense his #1 priority when getting dressed in the morning means he's never had self defense training or simplistic.

I know a few people who saw active duty and don't carry anything for self defense and I'd say they have more self defense training than your average CCL instructor.

Point # 1 would require a long explanation. But suffice it to say I was correct.

I do not disagree with Point # 2. The state of Louisiana sets the bar very low for qualifying as a CHP instructor -- just look at me as an example.

However, I would point out that very few military personnel receive a high level of handgun training.
