No reason to go down that far unless you staying at a camp. Put in at Bobby Lyns in Leeville and fish deeper natural bayous.Good Luck

Good advice. Caught limit of Redfish last Friday and Saturday in the Leeville area on plastic cocahoe fishing on the bottom. Most fish were in 6 to 10 feet of water.

Only reason I go to Grande Isle, is to be in Grande Isle, not necessarily to fish, but sometimes it's nice to get down there and get away.

Unless you bring a boat in fish in Leeville, like a previous poster said, fishing will be difficult. Road work on La. 1 between Fourchon and Grand Isle has limited the spots to fish without a boat to just the Tower pit and the Telephone Pole hole. Virtually no parking anywhere else, so it concentrates all the fisherman in those two spots. Should be a pretty weekend, so enjoy the scenery.

Also going down to the camp down there this weekend. I am hearing they are catching big trout on foot off LA1.

We are trailering up to leeville.
