Not with medical help they arent. I'd much rather them do it safely under medical supervision than try to shot or hang themselves, where things often go wrong and just leave them in an even worse state.

Obviously a patient would need a terminal diagnosis and have to undergo a psychological evaluation first.

Ultimately though, literally anything can be abused. Do we stop providing pain meds to people who need them just because some in our society are drug seekers who abuse them?

Listen, I have conflicted feelings about the subject and I can't imagine being in a situation where you are in severe pain, wanting to die, and can't. I'm just worried about what will happen if the practice is expanded.
