what business are you in? my rule of thumb is about 10%, but it really depends on what you're selling.
If you've done your job correctly at your current company (really locked them in), then it's extremely hard and painful for them to move just to follow you.

I am not moving, just a follow up post to the gent that was thinking he was taking all his customers with him. I tend to agree with you. Most of my/our customers are making more money than they ever dreamed and most don't want to upset the apple cart no matter how much they like me/current company and products.
I am in the landscape goods coating business.ie colored mulches, turf spray, etc
