I was planning to see the LC9 and get a S&W M&P 9.
You're all over the place in regards to size.
The P95 and S&W M&P9 are both considered "full size" or "mid size" meaning they have a 4"-5" barrel and a full grip, both with a double stack magazine. While these are good home defense guns and some people carry them, the majority of people in regular clothing aren't fans of carrying full sized, double stack pistols.
If you want to stick with something that can be potentially carried and have the potential to act as a full sized pistol, I would check out the "compact" size, which simply means the slide and frame are both shorter. It will still be as wide as its full size partner since the magazine is still double stack, but the shorter dimensions make it slightly easier to conceal.
Then you have the "sub compact" size which can be seen as anything with a 3" barrel. I don't really consider double stack "sub compact" pistols, like the XD subcompact, as sub compacts. I would consider a sub compact to be a single stack pistol. This thinner dimension makes carrying the gun much easier. So the LC9 fits in this category.
You need to decide what size you are leaning and then make a choice from there. But I am also a huge fan of the M&P platform. It's one of my favorites.
