Has there ever in the history of the USA have a law passed, that needed tv commercials to get support. I can only imagine how much the commercials cost and who is paying for it. How can anyone with an ounce of sense continue with a straight face argue this debacle. I can never remember a commercial on TV begging for support. How embarrassing for these people who supported this pile of crap. For the record my insurance went up 58%. Thanks

His healthcare law is terrible, too.

Why does the Post Office run ads?
And Entergy?
And the US ARMY (they are downsizing big time)
In Mississippi, the State Auditor, Secretary of State and Dept of Transportation run ads everyday.

Your response is disingenuous. None of the things you mention are comparable to Obamacare.
3 of them compete with other entities for customers or recruits and need to advertise for those reasons. The rest aren't federal so shouldn't be a part of a conversation comparing federal laws.
Why does Obamacare need to advertise if it is a federal requirement? There's no competition there. Everyone has to be involved.

All are government monopolies. No need for any of them to advertise. Yet, they all have been doing it for years.

I absolutely agree with you inre the Post Office. Can't agree with you about the Army advertising, though. They need young people. Them advertising on ball games makes a lot of sense.

...are you speaking of Obamacare or Obama??

The IRS does adverts but the message is not, "please participate",
it is more like, "we are not as mean as you think we are."

So youre gonna compare "this is your brain on drugs" , which was basically a public service announcement to Obamacare which everyone has to take part in ?? I think you should go back to bed until your head clears up
We are used to your weak-arse arguments but that might be the weakest

What specific piece of legislation is referenced and endorsed in your war on drugs commercial?

....this adminstration and most all of it's initiatives have been without a doubt....the worst in American history.....and the second worst is not even a close second.

Tuba, that's not an ad promoting a law being passed. That's a PSA. They do not cost any money at all beyond production. The FCC requires all TV and radio stations to run them. And that anti-drug ad was not run after a drug law was passed.

Some of you are not going to like this, but, most of the tv ads are payback to ad agencies or campaign ad planners from the Democrats winning campaigns. I used to see the ad agencies that did the TV ads get paid for the Gov't ads too. It's cronyism, payback. Some of you are NOT going to like this, but it was always Democrats doing it.

The problem is that it is now law, with zero chance of being repealed.
Appeal to your congressmen to do what is in their power to make it run as smoothly as possible and fix whatever issues the law has.
Whether it's attempting to polish the law from the left, or bitch about it to help midterm elections from the right, it's not helping you and me.
