This is why it's a waste of ones time. Stupid comments like this. Anyone that knows football or had watching LSU football in the past can see that starting with Florida the offense started to revert back to more of a ground and pound attack when there was no need to because it was fine. You can't tell me Miles didn't suggest it, but you will. Or the bowl game when Jennings started running the regular option that never worked with Jefferson. Where did that come from?? I guess Cameron couldn't wait to use that play.

So you wanted to sling the ball around in the bowl game with an untried QB when we had an NFL first rounder at tailback? Ground and pound was the wisest gameplan. We didn't have to put it on Jennings' shoulders, so we didn't. It wasn't flashy, but the game was never in doubt.

If we were able to run the ball against georgia we win. If we would have ran the ball against ole miss we wouldnt throw 3 ints. Im sorry but running the ball wins the sec. Of course we need a qb capable of getting us out of 3rd and long situations and im sure we have enough talent to find one that can.

God, how can someone be this narrow-minded? You know that teams typically adjust game plans based on the team they're playing right? Hey, we threw it 32453459 times against UGA and it worked so it must work against Florida, amirite!?

Even so, let's just ignore the fact that the games following Florida, Mett threw the ball 33 times (and lost), 24, 23, 20 and 22 times, respectively. I wish we would have gone to more "ground and pound" against Ole Miss, maybe we could have won.

I'm sure he did suggest running more against the more stout defenses we were facing because he's... you know... not a dipshit like you.

It came from us tailoring a game plan for a more mobile QB. The option a few times a game isn't inherently a bad thing, and people that think this are small-minded idiots.

I'm glad he didn't and I hope we run occaisonal option with either Jennings or Harris to keep the opposing defenses honest.

We scored a touchdown on an option play against Iowa FWIW

LSU threw the ball 88 times in the three games before Florida and 82 times the three games after Florida. Our passing offense gained 940 yards in the three games before Florida and 870 yards the three games after Florida.

You want to try again.

Looks like you are the one who doesn't know LSU football.
