Well, I haven't been in church or read the bible and followed it as well as one should. A girl I'm seeing kind of got me interested in it again and I found a campus type church that streams Andy Stanley's sermons. He talks about life groups and small groups and the church talks about them, too. I was wondering exactly what should someone look forward to who's usually not as knowledgeable or open about religion.

If anyone looks down on you for your "lack of knowledge" then they aren't living a Christian life and you don't want to be part of that group.

It all depends on the dynamic of the small group itself. I am part of a small group that meets during the week that is part of a larger church. (We are not a "mega church") Groups can be a little overwhelming for someone who has not been in church for a while and who is not versed in the Word. But I would welcome anyone in the group and meet them where they are in their lives even if they are opposed to some things that I believe in. I feel that's what small groups are all about....having intimate discussions about what God is doing in our lives and supporting everyone in the group.

I hope you find what you are looking for.
