"It pains me because Peyton had such a historic season," Miller told the Post. "He is the offensive player of the year, no question. But having played the position, when I looked at who had the most value to his team, I thought Tom Brady carried that team the same way Adrian Peterson carried Minnesota last year."

Manning clearly had the better season, and he acknowledges that, but he's using a different criteria: who meant the most to their team. I guess that can be debatable between the two. I'm okay with it since he was able to back up his stance and as long as he sticks that criteria every year.

It's pretty obvious. No matter the criteria.

You guess that can be debatable? It's only just about the most subjective argument one could make. He might as well said that he voted for Brady because he's prettier.

There is absolutely no way to quantify what either team would have been without either player. So there's no way to tell who is more important to their team.

And all the nonsense about "Brady had no talent around him" needs to stop. D Thomas and Decker weren't household names before Manning got to Denver. And at the start of the season no one knew who Julius Thomas was, and Moreno was well on his way to total bust status.
