I kiss every elder female in my family on mouth that im close to. I.e. mom, grandmothers, etc. Its a quick peck with no weird feeling or thought of after. Kissing is a sign of affection and I love them and they wint always be around. Would regretnot doing ut because im scared of what people think.
My dad I give kiss on cheeks to and tell him I lovd him everytime we get off phone.
As far as my daughter I've been sick last few days and its been crazy hard not to kiss her. it will break my heart if she ever gets too old to give me a kiss

Congrats on the kid Mikey. You will be a good dad.

Kissing your son on the lips is pretty weird.. but I'd say you are never to old to give your child a kiss on the forehead or something..if you think otherwise you are either in the closet or have had a camp counselor touch you during boy scouts..

My four-year-old kisses me on the cheek when he feels that he wants to and the same goes with me. My seven-year-old does not kiss me anymore, but I kiss him on the top of the head at least once a day.
But we have NEVER kissed on the lips, I think that is inappropriate and just would personally weird me out. To each their own....

My Dad always expected a cheek to cheek kiss till the day he die.

Best advice anybody could give you about being a parent: be yourself. There are a lot of crazy people out there who think they have it all figured out about being a parent and consequently, think their way is the only/right way.
Of course, there are things that are common sense about what is appropriate and what it not. But by and large, if you feel inclined to kiss your son until the day you die, do it.
If it's "weird" to somebody else, that's their problem and not yours. I'm sure we could all parallel our lives and find about 20 things with each other that we all think is "weird".

My dad is 65. He still pecks me on the cheek under certain circumstances.

Never too old.
I have three boys that know that their dad, despite his many faults, loves them. Aside from just "being there" at key times, showing your child appropriate affection is another way for them to know you love them.
As other have said and I share as well, I did not grow up in an affectionate home. My parents were great, but I made a conscious decision, given how I grew up, to chart a different path with my kids and hug/kiss them from the time they were born.

I still kiss my dad on cheek ever time I see him and I don't give a frick what other people think about it. He won't be around forever and has been a wonderful role model for me so I have no hesitation about showing him I love him for it...

Some of you people are fricking twisted.
Obviously a kiss between father and son is a symbol of affection and has no sexual content to it at all.
Nurse, Do you kiss your dog? Do you kiss him because you want him to lay the pipe to you? See how silly that is?
You kiss him as a sign of endearment. You kiss him because he knows that it is a act of affection and you want him to feel loved.
No different with a father kissing his son.

Since this thread is surrounded by threads about "flappy birds" and a repost of a Go-Daddy commercial, I would take all answers with a grain of salt and fall back to more reliable sources.

Mine is 3.5 and I kiss his cute face all day. Will do it until he punches me and I'll do it anyway

Never to old to kiss your kids. I never leave my sons/daughters, whom are older and married now, without a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
