As far as I can tell, this is the last public comment Jones made about him. Doesn't seem to be any new news.

Jones also updated the status of freshman forward Brian Bridgewater, who has yet to play for the Tigers because of an NCAA Clearinghouse issue.
According to Jones, Bridgewater is still ineligible to participate with the team because the NCAA had yet to approve a class he took "at another school,” presumably Episcopal High School, where Bridgewater attended before transferring to Scotlandville High School for his senior year. "He did everything he was supposed to do,” Jones said. "Unfortunately, other people have to make rulings.”
Jones seemed to indicate the NCAA could make Bridgewater, who is not practicing or working out with the team, eligible at some point during the season, but added that Bridgewater would be available next year, hinting at a redshirt – or possibly a gray shirt – for the 2013-14 year.
Until then, Bridgewater remains enrolled in and on scholarship at LSU, and is allowed to make use of LSU’s academic facilities for athletes.

So a kids at Florida takes benefits and is back. But they can't take time to rule on one a class taken at Episcopal.
Also it's Episcopal, not home schooled R US. Without even knowing the class I can tell you it was a legit course.
