Pork and room temperature question

I know that I can have beef at room temperature for around 8 hours before cooking, but what about pork? I am cooking some bone in pork chops on the iron skillet later today and was wondering. What sayeth the Food and Drink Board? Thanks in advance.

Couple hours if inside on the counter is fine. Even a bit longer especially this time of year.
