IMO all 3 have/had very similar games if not styles and Stromile and Tyrus real similar. Stromile was a known commodity coming in however and Tyrus developed as a redshirt.

And yeah that Brady team with Stromile and Jabari Smith were averaging like 99 points a game through about the first 15 games and then Brady just couldn't handle the success and throttled em back when they got deep into the SEC. They had a very gaudy record that year.

Then when they got into the game against Wisconsin in the NCAA tourney, Wisconsin was a bunch of farm boys that played very disciplined, didn't turn it over, slowed it down, LSU scored like 15 points in the first half, shot only like 10 times and never recovered. It was such a waste of a really good basketball team!

I remember when Brady was first hired (out of Samford was it?). I remember reading his quotes in the Advocate when he was introduced and he gave the obligatory nod to Pistol Pete and about how much he revered his offensive game and then in the next sentence talked about how he was a defensive coach and believed in half court basketball and I knew then LSU was in for a stretch of boring, unimaginative basketball. Turned my stomach really.

Then LSU hired someone with even less personality than John Brady...incredible!

But, back to the topic, Mickey may wind up having a better career at LSU than either of the other 2, he seems to have a great attitude and is havng a very good freshman year. Tyrus averaged 12 points, 9 rebounds and 3 blocks in 26 minutes his redshirt freshman year...also incredible!

Stromile's talent was somewhat wasted in the NBA. At one point in his career, he actually lead the league in most efficient minutes played. When Hubie Brown got back into coaching at Memphis I think, he actually played Stromile at center, I remember watching him have to cover Yao Ming one game. It was ridiculous looking.
