Floor drain in the mud room.
Dryer against an exterior wall to vent direct to outside.
Post tension slabs are worth a look.
Plumb & electric for future pool and yard / flower bed irrigation.
Use an interior decorator to assisted with color schemes.
Pre wire alarm and sound system. Cat 6 if you want.
Plan to exceed your budget by 20%. Include a landscaping budget. Houses look odd with no shrubbery.
Brick exteriors hold up well.
Windows in the front usually have divider strips for a window pane look. Don't use any dividers on the rear windows for a cleaner view.
Limit gutter use. You rarely need them everywhere.
Think of a bonus room over the garage as a good man cave area.
Outdoor kitchens & space are awesome.
Good luck!
