They are working on a carrier killer missile but who knows how legit that will be if it is ever deployed.
They remain a regional threat and nothing more.

A regional threat in those parts is an international threat. Those two countries fighting over those damn islands are the number 2 and 3 economies in the world. They may bitch and moan about the land, but they're not going to go to the point of war.
