Those NHTSA crash ratings are a joke. It basically rates a car's "safety" against itself (or cars of identical weight/size).

Thing is, the odds of being in a wreck with another car of identical weight and size are slim.

I guarantee you if this "5-star" Elio gets in a wreck with a "2-star" SUV, the star ratings won't matter for shite as to which driver will fare better.
