Q: What do you think about coach Monty Williams and the job he has done?

A: "I think he is doing a good job. I feel for him because he has had to deal with all the injuries and all the different players coming in. It's interesting for Monty, he has had so many different types of teams he has had to coach in his four years. He went from a veteran team to a team without a star and lot of injuries to a really, really young team to now a building team.

"The one thing is players are developing under Monty. Players are getting better. He is doing a good job of developing guys and translating that on the court. Now we are just hoping to get him a healthy group that he can coach."

Q: So this definitely is a team you want to let grow with Monty?

A: "Yes."

This seems like an accurate assessment, though what else would he have said to us / the fans on these topics?

If my assessments of Monty, the team performance, etc. were other than what they are, my assessment of what Dell said would be the same . . . marginally informative in that he was composed.

Dell is a pretty straightforward guy, but he also keeps his business close to vest.

ETA: Note the agreement with Pierre Jackson.
