I really enjoy electronic music with a strong but smooth bass line, perhaps even a bit bossa nova-ish. Thievery Corporation comes to mind. Love Thievery Corp. I also love the classic bass lines in Sade.

Please list some artists that fit this description. I need new music badly and newer music isn't doing it for me.

Edit: when I say strong bass, I don't mean just any band who is famous for their bass guitarists (ie. RHCP). I'm looking for electronic acts, not house/dance.

Here's an example of what I'm looking for:

Thievery Corporation

Ghostland is awesome. I was at SXSW and missed their show several years ago. I missed it b/c I didn't know who the hell they were

Thanks man! I have those three albums. Especially love Air.

Just googled some stuff and found a band called Thunderball that is very similar to Thievery Corp. Checking out that band now...good stuff so far

I bet you'd love some of Zero 7's stuff, like their albums "When It Falls' and "The Garden"

If you can dig instrumental stuff check out Lotus. Their latest album, Build, might be up you alley.

If you limit yourself to electronic you r missing some really good stuff, and I really like thievery.

I'm assuming you already know the trance guys like Oakenfold?

Enigma if you have insomnia?

Have you tried any bands with great rythem sections. Check out Widespread panic (but it needs to be live). Try the Wood album or the Pelham Alabama shows
