As you so astutely stated (probably after checking Wikipedia), the Nazis came to power in 1933. Twenty years before that, Archduke Ferdinand was happily banging ladies-in-waiting in Vienna and the idea of a war encompassing all of Europe was absurd.

What I'm getting at is that 20 years didn't elapse between WWI and the Nazis coming to power. Again, you have no idea what you're talking about.
