I really thought LSU ha one of the better college football seasons I had ever seen. No one is going to convince me something didn't go down before the NCG, because that was a totally different LSU team.

No, it wasn't. I really don't get how people think the BCSCG was any different in scheme than the other games from 11/5 on.
THINK about it...
At Alabama, Lee threw a pick and looked shaky early on. Les inserts JJ and goes away from the passing game. What occurred next would be the game plans for the Arkansas, UGA and BCSCG games. Why people can't seem to remember the game plans for those 'other' games immediately preceding the BCSCG, I can't figure.
The game plans were set up like this:
1st qtr Run the ball.
2nd qtr Run the ball.
3rd qtr Run the ball.
4th qtr Run the ball against an exhausted defense, score, profit.
If you remember the first game against Bama, it took until overtime for Bama's defense to tire. Les approached the BCSCG the same way he approached the Bama game after pulling Lee, the difference was that Saban was ready for it this time and was able to keep his defense off the field a little more and keep them fresh for the 4th qtr.
Half time scores:
With 5 seconds left in the first half, LSU trailed Bama 0-3 in the 11/5 game.
With 5 minutes to go in the half vs Arky, LSU was down 14-7.
At the half vs UGA, LSU was down 7-10, their only score came on a 70 yd punt return.
At the half in the BCSCG LSU was down 0-9 to Bama.
People look at the 21-0 score of the BCSCG and seem to think Bama scored 3 TDs on LSU. They didn't, it was 5 of 7 in fg attempts. In the November game, Bama was 2 of 6. Bama didnt' score a TD until 4:36 was left in the game which was basically out of reach due to them hitting on the 5 fgs. The BCSCG didn't really play out that much differently than the first game, except for the 4th qtr and the fact that they were actually hitting on their FG attempts.
