While our fanbase isnt the smartest, LSU had great pitching and defense last year. I dont have a huge problem with the bats but the CWS hasn't been fun to watch the last couple of years. Imo its more of a ballpark problem than a bat problem because baseball at the box is still fun to watch.

Haha..I was mostly responding to the knock against my Titans. I do agree to a point, but using HRs as a metric may not be the best nor is using "fun".

My take is that IF a pitcher hangs a curve then hit a line drive somewhere and don't swing for the fences. The ballpark is a known, so perhaps changing your approach at the plate would be a good idea.

Fullerton has some great pitching this year and I hope we make it to the CWS and use the park to our advantage.

Scott Dergan, meteorologist for the National Weather Service, said there's a difference in way the wind affects homeruns at TD Ameritrade Park compared to the old Rosenblatt Stadium. Both face an easterly direction – this protects batters from being blinded by the setting sun. But Rosenblatt was oriented to the north-northeast while TD Ameritrade is oriented toward the south-southeast. Additionally, Rosenblatt sat atop a hill while TD Ameritrade is along the the Missouri River in a valley. “It's different than at Rosenblatt, where the prevailing winds helped the ball out of the park,” Dergan said. Dergan said Omaha's prevailing winds during late spring and early summer are out of the south.
