Business taxes take money away from businesses that will use it well and throw the money into the Sarlacc Pit of government waste.
Everyone knows it is true.
People just have varying degrees of honesty when their core beliefs are challenged even when faced with reality.
Everyone also knew that the world was flat at one time and what do you know? They were WRONG!!!!
But just for shits and giggles why don't you explain why the money goes into the "sarlacc pit" where it does nothing at all but forces the poor put upon tax payer to have to work harder so more of his wealth is stripped away from him?
This is the problem....you have to believe in fantasy worlds to buy this shite. There is no "sarlacc pit"....it is make believe. So is the vacuum where tax dollars disappear out of the economy. Yes, the business that pays the tax would use the money to do whatever they chose but when it is remitted in the form of taxes it does not vanish. The only true effect, at current and even much higher levels, is psychological....it pisses folks off (at least some folks, most people understand it is a cost of doing business just like paying for lights and water).
If lower taxes created more jobs why aren't we swimming in jobs? Taxes are pretty low across the board when compared to past periods of much higher rates of employment.
Everyone may know this is true but they only know it at an anecdotal level....they have no facts to support their argument.

We have the highest corporate income tax rates IN THE WORLD.
"Lower than they used to be" doesn't matter nearly as much as "higher than everyone else's NOW".
The bigger "tax" on the economy is the one that comes from intelligent productive people having to carry the multitudes of fricking morons we are afflicted with.

Because taxes aren't low. So you are wrong there.
Then there are other regulations that also take away from a company's ability to produce and hire. This is the least business friendly administration in my lifetime (unless of course you are a big bank or a fortune 50 company)
And if I'm understanding you correctly, all of the government spending in your world is completely necessary, and none of it is waste, expendable, or discretionary?

Don't forget minimum wage and job automation.

This is true only if you exclude government inefficiency and redistribution ... Which is to say, it's not true.

Because expansion of business requires consistent liabilities. Right now, we have a very unstable future regarding federal liabilities (taxes, regs, ACA, etc.) - mostly the fault of incompetent government.
