What do you mean where is the smoking gun??? The evidence is everywhere that they lied. If you don't acknowledge that fact then you are just lying. Of course you are right that most Americans have the attention span of a three year old. Am I correct in assuming that you do as well since you don't care anymore. I'd like to know why help wasn't sent. I already know why they lied about the video. Everybody with half a brain knows why they lied. And it worked too. I'm aware of the money to Egypt. You're connecting dots that aren't really there. Even less people care about aid to Egypt than Benghazi. I personally think we should use that money to buy Apaches for Iraq and wait to see what happens in Egypt before we give them aid. More than likely though, we are basically buy Egyptian military officers with those arms dollars. There is no stable civilian leadership in that country so we're putting our eggs in the military basket. But that's for another thread.

I'm not connecting any dots. The point is the mideast has always been and will always be a shite hole. We can continue to pour American blood and money into that shite hole but it won't change the fact that sometimes, bad things happen.

I know your not naive enough to think our foreign policy is based around keeping the mid east from being a shithole. We care about two things over there. Oil an Israel. If arming Egypt keeps the Suez open and the oil flowing, we're gonna do that. If keeping Iran from getting a nuke keeps Israel safe, we're gonna do that. Nobody, and I mean nobody, gives a shite about the middle eastern people.
