I've had sleeping problems my whole life. adderall just exacerbated them, but I've been off for 10 months or so and my sleep still sucks

I have problems falling asleep. What works best for me is if I wake up early and hit the gym before work. I get the post workout rush and am ready to crash by quitting time.

If that doesn't work, I fall back on the vitamin V plan.

Oh, that'd be lovely.

I've been trying to find something that is effective that doesn't give me a "hangover"

i remember back when i used to work out 3-4 imes a day i'd get like 5 hours sleep but it would be glorious

i don't have sleep problems but when i hear of something new i try to tell my roommate (who has terrible sleep issues)

1. always be consistent with your "bed" times
2. never take naps
3. don't stimulate yourself before bed

those are the 3 big things. the bath method works really well from what i've read/seen (hot back 90 min before bed)

It doesn't sound like you have sleep problems. It sounds like you have demonic possession problems.

I already don't do these things. I know working out would help, but I already get up too early for my liking and I'm busy until later than would be good to workout.
Plus, it's hard to find the energy to workout when you're always exhausted!!!

Have you tried Ambien? I never have so I'm unsure if it gives a hangover or not.

I don't find Valium or Xanax gives me a hangover but they are for anxiety (and long haul flights) and not really for sleep.

Kind of wish I had never started taking sleeping pills. I tried once the night before a big exam because I wanted to get like 11 hours of sleep and I now i don't even remember the last time I slept without one. If I don't pop a unisom then I'll stay up right through the night without ever getting tired

No, never tried ambien. Sort of scared to because I hear a lot of people sleep walk and do crazy things. Plus, if one of the kids cries, I need to be able to tend to them. I'm not sure if ambien would be easy to just wake up all of a sudden on.
