Should I maybe cancel my AMEX Gold and replace it with CSP? I think I am keeping the Platinum regardless.

Dude, the AMEX Gold is just overkill. I honestly don't understand the points thing you're trying to get. You already secured the bonus.

The platinum has all the benefits of the Gold with the exception of double accrue. If you go get a CSP, it has double points, is a VISA and you get a signup bonus.

Diversify your wallet. Not all places take AMEX. And like I said earlier, your spend isn't enough to justify paying an additional fee to get 10-12K points because it honestly is only about $75 redeemable credit.

Dude (didn't know men still said this by the way), that is entirely my point/question. I had the fee waived on the Gold and I've got the bonus points already. That was the point of my question since I already have the Platinum.

It's very diversified already. I'm just looking to get "better" cards and will drop several of my current visa cards I already have if I get the CSP. I'll just keep the oldest one I have so that won't impact my length of credit facet of my credit score.
I think I'll just go get the CSP now, drop the AMEX gold, keep the Platinum, and get rid of all other Visa's but for the oldest.

The amount he spends on gas and groceries justifies him having both IMO.

It gets double points on restaurants and travel neither of which he has indicated he spends a significant amount on. But that sign-up bonus is worth it

This is something I really agree with and I do. I prefer to have a mastercard as my alternate card since Sam's takes it and not Visa or Amex.
