Oh darn. Maybe something like Alaska Airlines credit card? Can't you use those points on Delta to suit your needs?

No I cannot transfer them but I can use them with Delta

Anyone got any advice for the following situation?
Fiance and I have a combined 90k in Chase Ultimate Rewards points.
We have the Sapphire Preferred.
We live in Houston and want to fly to Kauai for our honeymoon next April.
What is the best way to do this (we are flexible on whether or not we do first class on any of the legs, but we think it may be worth it if any of the legs are a red-eye)?

That's what I meant. Not sure if there's any other cards that you could use with delta off the top of my head. You could also look at the other sky team partner CCs

Blog post for your question. An update to that information is Korean Airlines supposedly has gotten easier to book awards with, so consider it as well.
After reading that and feel confused, come back here. I'll or someone else will try to help. I'll be at wrestlemania tonight friend just invited me
Eta: Another Blog post
I also want to mention if you didn't know that yall will need to transfer/combine all your points into one chase Sapphire preferred account before transferring into a partner airline account

Any good deals out there?
I've got 70k pts with Chase Sapphire Preferred, 55k pts with my American Express, and I think 8k miles with United right now...
Would love another card to get 50k or so, would have enough points to do something AWESOME

The best options I can think of is securing a Chase Business card for 50k points which isn't that hard if you have a relationship with them. You have enough Chase points for just about any where in economy.
For "awesome" without fragmenting your points too much, you could pick up a Hyatt card which gets you two free nights at any of their hotels in the world, regardless of price. People use this at their Paris or Maldives properties which are $800 a night but you could find somewhere else similar to use that benefit.
As I mentioned a few posts earlier that American airlines card is available but not sure you need it.
Eta: you could try to get the united 50k offer as well, since you would probably transfer your UR to them anyways. Almost forgot! I got targeted for it but you can get the 50k offer at a Chase Bank Branch reportedly

Yeah, they send me something every few weeks about it...

Now this might be something to look at.
I'm considering using my points this fall and take a trip to London

Hyatt Regency there is $600 a night, so two free nights there if you want to have fun isn't too shabby huh?
I'd really look into the routing options that United gives you with the two open jaws and stopover. You can do some really neat things with that if you have the time.
If you're only going for a week, then I think just London (and its surroundings) is fine. I'm going to Barcelona (out of MSY) for a week over New Year's, with a 3 day stopover in DC to visit my fiancee's family for Christmas as an example. Whole ticket cost for two people was pretty much $0.
My Business card lets me manufacture points if I need them. Even after that trip I already have a enough to fly us to our honeymoon the year after. Just trying to get enough for half of it to be in business class to give us that flexibility if we need it, since you can't always find Saver Economy on your dates or don't want to torture yourself if they are there.

Booking hotels with the Chase Preferred on their website is pretty awesome. Most rates are $40-$60 cheaper than a regular night when booking with points

Ya, as with any booking, comparing the real rate, listed rate, award chart etc takes a bit of time to make sure you're getting best $ per point, but sometimes simplicity is nice too.
It can take some real work to squeeze all the juice out.

I guess I might just open up a delta business Amex... seems to be my only option

Just got an offer in the mail on my Discover Platinum...
If I put $500 on it every month from May-Sept, they will give an extra $100 Cash Back.
Hmmm, trying to see if that works out better than the rewards I earn on my Sapphire Preferred.
Thoughts?

So my bonus run is finally over with my AMEX cards. I ended up with a little over 80,000 points with these bonuses + normal spending.
Gold = 40,000
Platinum = 25,000
Delta Reserve = 25,000 Delta miles + 10,000 MQMs
Overall, I really like the AMEX cards. I have traveled 3 times and the free booze in the delta lounges is awesome. I also went to a Centurion lounge and that place is unreal!
The platinum concierge is a big bonus too. I now use it every time me and the wife go somewhere.
So now on to the Chase Sapphire Preferred. It should be arriving later this week.

Just got started with credit cards this week. Went with CSP and freedom. As a chase customer it made too much sense not to start there.

Those are solid choices
If I didn't travel like I do they would be my go to cards (I Think)

Teddy, would you mind expounding on how you are quickly building points with your Chase business card?

I assume I'm not supposed to start a new thread and will just drop this here.
My wife and I do not have a credit card and are looking to get one to start accumulating points. It appears Barclays and Chase Sapphire are highly recommended here.
We just need one card to dump all our monthly expenses on. APR isn't an issue—we'll pay it off every month as we have no other debt. We're not big on international travel, but would like rewards to redeem towards one domestic vacation each year.
Is Chase Sapphire our best bet for a one-stop-shop card (gas, groceries, clothes, cell phone, etc.)? Or would Barclays or Amex Gold be better?
Thanks all
