yup the bar tender would give it you....its funny though he was struggling to roll it so I grabbed it and had it rolled in 5 seconds he said YEAH MON!


i did tip I am just making a point that it is not expected. some places I have been people always had their hand out I mean everybody and that gets annoying when you are constantly being strongarmed for tips

Yeah I know what you mean. We just got back from Playa and the service at the resort we stayed at was amazing so I didn't mind showing my appreciation by tipping. We brought $150 in ones and $900 in cash and used pretty much all the ones for tips while there(5 nights).


I never tipped anything insane...$1 per drink brought to me; $2-3 a day for maid service(they have different maids cleaning your room so tipping all at the end isn't a good idea); $1-2 a day for the guy that stocked our fridge and mini bar in the room; $2-3 at breakfast and lunch; $5 at dinner or more if the service was great(depended if we did buffet or the nicer sit down restaurants that night).
