Alumnus who don't understand how universities work certainly give LSU a great name.
Depending on the college you're in (that's your major) one school can be better than the other. Are you in the business college? OK, pick LSU. Are you in Computer Science? Pick UL.
However, with Jindal's cuts to both systems, I doubt that long term either university will be worth a shite.

Exactly.
I'm an LSU alum and decided to continue my education at ULL because they have one of the top programs in the nation, in my degree and focus.
