know everyone loves high flying spread offenses and what not, but I get no greater satisfaction than when we hang 40+ on someone while also systematically making them physically fricking quit

Bing. Freakin. O.

Not sure if y'all will remember this otherwise pretty nondescript drive, but it was during the Saban years, in Baton Rouge, against Mississippi State. I'm pretty sure that it was the same game that some defensive player got one of the stupidest unsportsmanlike penalties in the history of the sport, and Saban goes off on one of his epic tirades.

Anyway, LSU's lollygagging arse around, screwing up, dropping passes, just kind of going through the motions basically, and then, right before the end of the first half, LSU gets the ball back with about 6 or so minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Saban apparently tells Jimbo (or whoever it was at the time) to do nothing but run between the tackles......this was post tirade.

The drive that ensued was one of those drives that just stated "look here fellas, y'all don't belong on the same field as us, we've been dicking off for the past quarter and a half, but this is what you've got to look forward to in the second half."

LSU commences to run it absolutely down State's throat, about 6 yards at a clip. I don't even think we pulled a guard. I'm talking straight dive plays, no finesse, just make their asses quit football.

We score, and go on to beat them pretty badly IIRC.

THAT's what I think LSU's offense will look like if Hill comes back, doesn't kick anyone's arse this summer, get caught getting his wanker sucked by someone too young to be sucking wankers, and Fournette does indeed sign.

And it will be like the sun rising in the east, over some cypress and tupelo trees, on a beautiful late fall morning, with mallard quacking above the decoys.

Routine. Something that happens often. Nothing particularly special about it. But just simply beautiful every time you see it.
