yet another stat...

Since 2006, teams coming off a regular-season win of 20 or more points over a playoff opponent have only won four of the eight postseason rematches. Most notably, the 2007 New York Giants rebounded from a 22-point loss to Green Bay in the regular season, to beat the Packers for the NFC Championship.

Random stat I heard on ESPN -

A team that lost to another team by (I think the stat was) more than 2 TDs had a playoff rematch the same year 25 times.

Out of those 25 times, the team that lost the first game by more than 2 TDs won the playoff rematch 13/25 times, or 52% of the time.
