I loved Faulk, but Hill just shattered the expectation for the position this year. Go to The Rant and see the appreciation thread and his numbers.

I could be wrong, but I don't think LSU played 13 games every year during the time Faulk played.

You're not wrong...they didn't. I'm not even sure of bowl performances were included by then...at one point they were not.

What makes Hill's season as a pure RB the best is is yards per carry...it's off the charts. The guy put up 1400 yards playing is 12 games (remember, he didn't take a snap in the TCU game) and almost none in game #2. He barely averaged 15 touches per game the whole season.

Faulk was an outstanding RB, but where he worth really shined was as a return man. Those combined yards are what make him untouchable in terms of numbers.

But make no mistake...Hill's 2013 is second to none at this point at LSU as far as RB's go.

Hill played in a total of 20 games last year. Two of those games, he got 3 carries total so you can throw that out. As a true freshman, Hill averaged 93 yards in 8 games. This year he played only 3 quarters of the first 3 games so taking those out, he averaged 123 yards in his last 10. He has over half the rush TDs Faulk had during his 4 year career in 2 years and he has almost half the yardage and less carries.
