The UA Game is behind us. Lets just assume those commitments stick.
We have 18 commitments, and expect to sign 25, so we have seven open spots.
We aren't expected to get a commitment during the Army AA Game, but a few prospects that LSU is interested in are playing and may tip their hand on where they end up on signing day. These two prospects will likely get a lot of attention from LSU as soon as the dead period ends, and they will be playing the Army AA Game on Saturday.
DE Malik McDowell
DT Travonte Valentine
DE Solomon Thomas
The rest of the recruits are Signing Day decisions, and these are the names you are likely to see the most in the coming weeks
DB Adoree' Jackson
WR Malachi Dupre
DE Lorenzo Carter
LB Dwight Williams
LB Kenny Young
OT Derrick Kelly
DT Breeland Speaks
OT Rodriguez
Now, there is very little chance that we sign all the names you see here, so who knows who else the staff reaches out to in order to fill the remaining holes in this class. Just for kicks, this is how I personally rate the remaining prospects, the likelihood they end up here and the importance of position.
WR Dupre
DT Valentine
DT Speaks
DE Carter
DE McDowell
DB Jackson (Much higher priority, just not convinced he comes here)
LB Kenny Young
OT Kelly/Rodriguez
LB Williams
DE Thomas
Great post.
We got two of the three most important recruits today in LF and Adams. Losing Willis hurts a ton, but I refuse to beat a dead horse.
Valentine can be sold on immediate playing time and literally no one but a couple redshirt freshmen to stand in his way. Assuming Dural starts, he is competing with a couple RS FR, a JUCO SR that didn't play in his first year and whoever else is in this class (probably Quinn) for the starting WR spot (not mop up or 4th on the depth chart). I don't know what other sales point can be stronger for guys of this caliber. Big time program with immediate playing time is the magic sauce.
Kenny Young looks terrific, so I hope we land him.
Hootie can't be happy about Brown going to Bama, but he has to feel spurned by the LSU coaches. I wouldn't expect him to flip because of this.
Jackson is a long shot, but of course would be a welcomed surprise.
I honestly need to do some evaluations on the other guys because I just haven't followed recruiting as closely as I once did.
Again, solid post RAT.

I know everyone will be gun shy after today, but LSU is in a great position for Dupre.
Watch Speaks, Ole Miss fans are not happy at all about us preparing to offer him and many say he is the best prospect in the state.
God knows what KY is doing, but I want him in this class pretty badly. The two OTs will likely be redshirted but we certainly need the depth.
