@LarryHolder: NFL spokesman Michael Signora tells me Peyton Manning's pass will remain as call. So Manning keeps the record by one yard over Drew Brees.

@RapSheet: Per NFL spokesman @NFLfootballinfo, Peyton Manning keeps his record: "The stats crew at the game scored this play as a forward pass."

Would've beat the record anyway had he played the 2nd half. However, they fix stats all the time, this should've been fixed as well.

@LarryHolder: Elias Sports Bureau deemed it the "fairest resolution is for the ruling of the on-site stats crew to stand."

Someone should review every one of Brees' passes for the record breaking year. (Make certain no screens or swing passes were laterals).

Had it been the other way around Brees would be 7 yards short of the record. frick the NFL and their corrupt ways. Let Manning have the record. He will be an after thought when he bows out of the playoffs again.

if Brees was black the NFL would have done the right thing and changed the record because of media pressure.

but since he's not, they chose to protect their good ole boy and just turn a blind eye.

What pisses me off about this is how long, or should I say quickly, it took them to determine this. They usually don't make stat corrections until the following Thursday. However they did this one in less than 24 hours. They knew going into it they weren't going to change it.

It's Manning, the Sportsman of the Year. What did y'all expect?

Good. Break it again next year. Better than hearing about it all the time anyway.
