So regardless if you can do 1 or 20, it will still help you over time? I don't think I've ever seen one before other than the p90x videos so I was a little confused on how they actually function.
It gets you from 1 to 20 FASTER than the chair. However, I do admit, that since now I can do a lot of pullups I hardly ever use it. I only use it for some of the tougher pullup exercises, and that's only when I'm already pretty gassed.
Whether getting from 1 to 20 quicker is worth the money is up to you. Personally, I don't regret the purchase.

Ok gotcha. I certainly struggle in some exercises but I think in GENERAL I do alright on the pullups. I'll probably hold off on an assist. Also I just bought the blackmountain products resistance band set that someone posted in here like 30 pages ago and like it so far. Definitely gives me more options..previously I just had 1 heavy resistance band I somehow aqcuired like 5 years ago, don't even know where from. But a)it's nearly impossible to do some of the tough shoulder exercises with that heavy one and b)it doens't give me enough resistance on some of the arm exercises. I love how you can clip multiple bands at once on to get more specific resitance.
