Dude. You're such a good and knowledgable poster. But when it comes to you and defending Monty, you turn into a..... I don't even know what you turn into?
Dude, these are your words:

Well he got the ball and tried to shoot it once. He was covered. He took a couple of dribbles, tried to shoot it again, still covered. So then with two more defenders on him, he steps back and still shoots it. He never looked to pass it once.
That totally disproves the entire point of your thread. The coach drew up a play that didnt pop open. From there its Anderson's job to get the ball back to a guard.

No coach in the history of basketball has drawn up a play for a guy to pump fake 12 times, step back, pump fake some more, then shot a contested fadeaway 3. Thats on Anderson for taking the worst shot he's taken all year.

Then there's Holiday going full retard the possession before.

Maybe if I didn't see Grevis throw up numerous heaves at the end of shot clocks last year coming out of timeouts then I'd see your point. Maybe Grevis wouldn't pump fake 12 times, but he'd look to pass it once then throw up a desperation shot.

I just don't think that Monty prepares his team with more than option A or B in crunch time. He'll, I think he'd rather "roll with it" and not call a timeout to set something up. Pro Monty's will say, "He doesn't want the opposing coach to set up his defense". Which I find absurd. I don't think Monty has confidence in Monty come crunch time.
