Pointing out that just because family is somewhere doesn't mean he is a lock. The people who think that is the onlyfactor in him coming or not coming to LSU is ridiculous. If a kid liked everything about LSU better but went to Bama, I'd be a little pissed.
And I would respond with an insult, but I don't feel like attempting to be an internet badass is really necessary.

for the record, at least early on in the process TB did say that being at the same school as Beloved was very important to him.
This was before she enrolled at LSU and had her clearance problems.

The quote was something along the lines of "Its a huge deal and would be awesome to go where my sister is, but its not going to make or break the decision". Not downplaying it, but that's basically what he said. That's the 'politically correct response' for a recruit.

I think Jimmy may need to take a step back at this point...
If he's hearing it directly from the kids (which he is) and has to flop like that, then he's being trolled (also). If he's not being trolled, then he's making the false assumption the verbiage is always 100% truthful.

Me too.
My first thought was that if he had been straight up told that it was done, he would've been asked to keep it quiet and we wouldn't have seen such a definitive post. (catch-22 for recruitniks: the best info has to be kept under wraps)

His parents will want them at the same school so they can see them both compete. It's much more convenient for the family as a whole. Brown is going nowhere.
Distance is the overwhelmingly biggest reason recruits go to specific schools. It's not always the case but most of the time it is.

Today I've been saying LSU's best hope with Speedy (to clinch it) is being around the other LSU kids. Problem is, most of them are uncommitted too and no one seems to be willing to budge. We need a NOLA or S La recruit(ing) version of Brandon Harris in Orlando.
I am scared that 504 is not around because he knows Speedy's decision. But that's me being negative on my own (which I've resisted saying up till now).

504 probably does know his decision. That's not necessarily a negative to us though because 504 wouldn't want to take away Speedy's moment.

I agree with this. I mean, 504 said for awhile now that if Speedy had to choose it might not go the way we like it.
