Thanks guys, still not sure, as far as online it sounds like BF4 might be the way to go although it has a shorter campaign.
It appears that I can expect to be ridiculed by fat arse teenagers with no life regardless of which I choose. Awesome!

Oh here's something. BF4 has a mode called domination that's 10 vs. 10 and it shrinks the map into a CoD style. Its basically a CoD mode inside BF4.
