Why aren't we going after Smith OT commit with Penn State: Coaching talking buyout screams decommit.

sure you got the name right? Braden Smith is a OG from KS, and is a TCU or TAMU lean. Probably TAMU.
His weakest points are movement, feet, etc. Not the best for a pass blocking OT (or that he needs to work on those). But still not bad.
LSU has shown zero interest. I'm with you, wonder why.

2014 Scout.com HS Football Rankings (full list):
Pos: OT Pos Rank: #2 Pos Rating:
Scout.com Player Evaluation:
STRENGTHS
Aggresiveness / Tenacity
Drive Blocking Skills
Power And Strength
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT
Technique
One of the most physically impressive specimens in the country. He is a beast in the weightroom and that strength shows on tape. He has quick feet and good athleticism which allows him to pull effectively. Even though he is very muscular he is not robotic with his movement. He plays low, with good pad level and shows good flexibility. He plays both ways in high school and could play OT, OG or DT in college. He is a no frills, hard-nosed player.

The bigger question is why not try to see if we can get a visit from Damian Prince, Thomas Holley and Casey Tucker. They're all better prospects.

Are you Braden Smith and you are looking for an offer? I have Les' number if you are....

Wallace or Johnson from Missouri. That's who I would push for because they are both top rated uncommitted tackles from the same state (which Andy Bauer whom we were after at one point has already committed to the state school.)

We could play this game all day. Kelly jr is the truth though. Not as much of a nasty streak but a freak athlete.

I know what you're saying... but I guess sometimes we are here just to play that game.
I think it's Wallace that may be a little open. And Kelly Jr we know is open to looking around as has been in touch with LSU (or vice versa, or both).
I'm starting to think Kelly is just one of those late bloomers and like many others LSU is slightly behind the curve (but catching/caught up). Anyone know if/when LSU can get him on campus?

I think the question here is why isn't LSU pursuing more options at OT.

Cause we were suppose to get this kid named cameron Robinson

They are.
