I've heard rumors that this is a stunt. Phil was scheduled to leave the show, so these remarks were stayed so that buzz surrounds the show, ultimately resulting in more viewers.
Buying it? Not sure.

That sounds like a terrible rumor someone is saying.
I have seen this shite all over facebook for the past couple of days and it's getting ridiculous..
Some people are starting to say it was the Government trying to hush the Robertsons up b\c of their christian morals and all this other conspiracy theory shite.
People are dumb.

It's definitely a stunt. If it weren't why did they have a whole day of Duck Dynasty episodes yesterday? Don't say it was already scheduled and they didn't have anything to put there. If it were such a big deal, they would have found a way.
